>> Hi, I'm Jasmine France, Senior Associate Editor for www.cnet.com, and I'm here today with the Samsung P2. Now the interesting part about this player is it is a touch screen MP3 player and you might say it most closely resembles the iPod Touch, though it is noticeably smaller. But it's quite a bit different than that player. First of all you don't have the Home button on the bottom, even though that is what this looks like it should do. This is just an LED. You do have some tactile controls around the sides here. There's Play, Pause, and Power, a Hold switch which is really handy and necessary for a player with a touch screen. Other than Bluetooth this has a couple other notable features. There is a built in FM radio and it is a good FM radio. It has presets, auto scan. You also get video playback and photo support. And photos and videos look just great on this nice 3 inch screen. It's very bright, very crisp. And finally of course, you have the music playback which is the most important thing in a MP3 player, always. The playback screen we're going to go into here, because it's kind of fun when you have a touch screen like this. It's nice to interact with the music. You can actually tap the screen and switch the visualizations on the screen. You have album art. You can get a like graphic equalizer and there's these kind of G Force-esque [assumed spelling] visualizations that you can look at, graphic visualizations. Now the 4 gigabyte version goes for $200, and the 8 gigabyte goes for 250. Definitely not a cheap MP3 player, but you are paying a premium for the nice touch screen, the interface, excellent audio quality, and also the Bluetooth integration. I'm Jasmine France and this has been the Samsung P2. ^M00:01:27 [ Music ]

Samsung YP-P2 (4GB, black) Review

The good: The Samsung P2 offers fantastic audio quality and a large, brilliant touch screen. The interface is fun and customizable, and the player is packed with features including video playback, a great FM radio, support for subscription music and Datacasts, and a plethora of sound enhancement options.

The bad: The touch screen of the Samsung P2 is not always precise, and the lack of tactile controls may not appeal to all users. There's no memory expansion option, and it's pricey.

The bottom line: The Samsung YP-P2 is an excellent-sounding MP3 player that will appeal to those looking for a cool touch-screen interface and stereo Bluetooth capability.
