Hey, there. I'm Josh Goldman, senior editor for CNET. And this is the look at the Samsung WB 250F. It's a camera that would be a pretty average compact mega zoom if it were for all of Samsung Smart Camera options and some nice design in shooting features. The core features include a 14 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and an 18x zoom lens. Then you get this nice 3-inch touchscreen on back and an interface that can be controlled either with the physical controls over here or almost entirely through touch. Then you've got built-in wi-fi and a bunch of things you can do with it and these includes a direct link button that let you assigned a specific wireless function to it such as automatically sending a picture by e-mail straight from the camera. In addition to that, Samsung added the ability to have shots automatically sent from the camera to a smartphone or tablet. There are plenty of shooting options too from filters and effects to full manual controls. And while its photos are average for this class of camera, they're better than you get from a typical smartphone if only because you have more controls and a better lens. Plus the built-in flash is more useful than most since it can be popped up and pull back so you can bounce the light. All in all, if you're looking to do more than a simple snapshot with your phone without completely loosing the file sharing, this is good way to go for less than $250. I'm Josh Goldman, and that's Samsung WB 250F.
