>> Hi, I'm Bonnie Cha senior editor at CNET.com with your first look at the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile. This is their new Galaxy S phone and as you can ^M00:00:14 see it's a very, very gorgeous device I think. On front you've got a four inch AMLED screen that is absolutely popping with color and very, very sharp. Below the screen you've got four touch sensitive buttons. You've got the menu, home, back and search buttons. Very thin device, it kind of reminds me of another phone from a fruit company perhaps. On top you've got a micro USB port as well as a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack and on back it has a five megapixel camera which is capable of recording video in HD format. ^M00:00:45 As far as features, it's running android 2.1 and it will be upgradable to android 2.2. Also running Samsung's [inaudible] 3.0 interface and I really like what they've done with the main menu of applications. It's very nice looking and it's easy to understand so I think it will be great for consumers. ^M00:01:03 T-Mobile is preloading the device with plenty of entertainment features including a full copy of Avatar, MobiTV, the Amazon Kindle app for Android and also Samsung's media hub where you can download movies as well as magazines and books. The Samsung Vibrant will be coming to T-Mobile on July 21 for $199.99. It's going to make a great addition to their line up, kind of their flagship device. ^M00:01:28 One other thing about the Vibrant, it's running Samsung's one gigahertz hummingbird processor so that should equal some pretty good performance. Looking forward to checking it out and I'm Bonnie Cha with your first look at the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile.

Samsung Vibrant (T-Mobile) Review
The good: The Samsung Vibrant boasts a brilliant Super AMOLED touch screen and comes preloaded with a number of entertainment goodies, including a full-length copy of "Avatar." The Android-based smartphone also offers 16GB of internal memory, full wireless options, and great call quality.
The bad: The phone feels plasticky and slick. Battery life isn't the greatest. There's no camera flash.
The bottom line: Sleek and fast, the Samsung Vibrant is one of T-Mobile's top smartphones for entertainment, but its feature set takes a toll on the battery life.
