>> I'm Nicole Lee associate editor for CNET.com and this is the Samsung T409. It is one of the first phones that's compatible with T Mobiles new hot spot at home service that lets you make call via WiFi. As you can see it is a pretty basic looking phone it has a monochrome external LCD on the front, 1.3 mega pixel camera on the side is a dedicated camera button on the other side is a volume rocker and a headset slash charger jack right here. Open it up I got a pretty like luster looking screen, but that's ok with a phone this basic. Underneath the display you get a pretty descent keypad kind of clash with the surface, but they're textured enough that you can dial by feel if you need to. Features include as we mention a 1.3 mega pixels camera, Bluetooth, speaker phone, no real music player, no real high speed internet access. But of course it does have the WiFi calling capability built in. All you have to do is just go tot the WiFi settings and pick one you want then you can make calls via WiFi. The transition between GSM cellular airwaves and the WiFi network is actually pretty smooth. We did experience the occasional pause in between calls, but other wise it was pretty good, overall a pretty basic phone that would please most people. My name is Nicole Lee and this is the Samsung SGHT 409. ^M00:01:18 [ Music ]
