Samsung Seek (Boost Mobile) Video Transcript
-I'm Jessica Dolcourt, Senior Associate Editor with CNET, and this is your fist look at the Samsung Seek for Boost Mobile. The slider phone is the twin to the Samsung Seek on Sprint except for a few differences in price, preloaded apps, and performance. The Seek is a glossy black phone with rounded corners, a 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen, and 3 buttons on its face to go back, go to the home menu, and initiate a call. On the back, you've got the 1.3 mega pixel camera. Slide the face to get at the QWERTY keyboard. It feels roomy without being too wide for those of us with smaller hands. The nice thing about a touchscreen is that you can tap the screen or navigate with a keyboard while at Landscape mode. On the inside, you've got a touchscreen with a tabbed 4-screen layout for navigating to favorites, to the main menu, multimedia apps, and to the web. We also like that the image icons are laid out in a grid for more accurate selecting. There's a decent set of mid-level features including text and multimedia messaging, e-mail, instant messaging, and Facebook apps. There's also a browser, GPS, bluetooth, and a subscription-based boost navigator app for $9.99 per month. The screen is smaller than we like for surfing the web and composing e-mail and the 2.5 G speeds also make internet access slow. As for price, you can pick out a Samsung Seek from Boost Mobile for $149.99 with a $50 per month unlimited plan, and there's no annual contract. It's a solid mid-ranged messaging phone and an interesting option for Boost subscribers. I'm Jessica Dolcourt taking a look at the Samsung Seek for Boost Mobile.

Samsung Seek (Boost Mobile) Review
The good: The Samsung Seek has an appealing design with a touch screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard. A subscription-based navigation app and multimedia features are a plus.
The bad: Its small touch screen is a little cramped and its slow connection speeds make Web browsing ponderous.
The bottom line: The Samsung Seek's multimedia features make it a decent middle-of-the-road messaging phone, but an attractive monthly prepaid price tag and a new design for Boost Mobile earn it bonus points.
