>> Hi I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we are going to take a first look at the Samsung SCHU520, this is a new phone for Alltel service. Phone doesn't look like a lot from the outside, it looks pretty basic according to Samsung phones, do have a pretty thin design, the Samsung's really fond of that right now. Have an external display, camera lens just above, dedicated music keys down below and stereo speakers. Open up the phone, inside you'll find a familiar design as well, pretty nice internal display, typical Samsung, colorful, pretty bright and vivid as well, it's hard to see indirect light but we are used to that from the company. Moving down to the navigation keys, this is a thin phone so they are flat with the surface of the phone. What's really interesting about this phone is that it's the first phone to run Alltel's new cell top service. What cell top is, is a new graphical interface that you can access to, press a button right there to access it and it actually consists of two cells on each side of the screen, you can program it to hold a lot of things, will see our inbox and weather. So what happens is you have your message inbox, just sits right on top of the display, you have a weather for your city or a city where traveling to and it just puts the information out there. You can have news, you can have sports scores, you can have rodeo scores, it's kind of the odd one but I'm sure some people will look at it, you can have ring tone box, so it's really a great way to just interact with the information on your phone. But this is Alltel's new service and this is the first phone to do it, it's called cell top. Other features on the phone are about what you would expect, you get a camera, speakerphone, things like that, but the cell top is really the story here.
