>> Nicole Lee: I'm Nicole Lee Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a first look at the Samsung Stride for US cellular. As you can see here is a very basic entry level camera phone for the carrier. On the front here is a very simply external display, above that is the 1.3 megapixel camera lens. Flip it open you get a very nice display here, very nice and colorful. Underneath that you do get the navigation array which consists of the two soft keys, the round toggle, the send key as well as the clear key and the end power key. Underneath that you do get a very roomy number keypad, it feels kind of rubbery when pressed so it's easy to dial and text by feel. Features of the Stride are fairly basic. You do get the 1.3 megapixel camera like we said. There's no camcorder however and there's no music player either. Other features include text and multimedia messaging, a speaker phone and Bluetooth. Even though its call quality could be improved, we'd still recommend the Samsung TwoStep as a good beginner music phone for U.S. Cellular.
LG Saber GT-950 (U.S. Cellular)
If all you want is a bare-bones messaging phone, the LG Saber is a decent entry-level offering for U.S. Cellular.
