>> [Nicole Lee:] I'm Nicole Lee, associate editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the Samsung SBH600 stereo Bluetooth headset. As you can see here, it's a very comfortable headset. On the top here is a very soft and cushy headband material that feels very comfortable when worn. There's also these two ear cups that are also covered in a very soft, cushy patterned material so it feels really comfortable when you're wearing it. The controls on the SBH600 headset are located on both the left and right ear pieces. On the front of the left ear piece is the power switch toggle as well as the LED indicator. On the side here, you do get the call button. On the back of the left ear piece you also get the volume rocker as well as a 3.5 millimeter headset jack in case you don't want to use the Bluetooth connection. On the front of the right ear piece is a toggle for three different sound modes: normal, wide, and bass. Wide means it has stereo widening sound, and bass just means it has a bass booster. Also on the right ear piece are the play-pause controls, the track shuttle keys, as well as the charger jack. Overall, we really like the sound quality of the Samsung SBH600. The bass booster and stereo widening sound really works in making music really sound rich and full. Call quality, however, was a mixed bag. Even though we could hear our calls loud and clear, they often had trouble hearing us. So even though the Samsung SBH600 isn't so good for making calls, it is fantastic for listening to music. The headset is a little pricey, however. It's around 150 dollars retail, but if you shop around online you can get it cheaper. The good: The Samsung SBH-600 stereo Bluetooth headset fits very comfortably on the ear and has excellent audio quality. We also like the 3.5-millimeter headset jack that lets you use it with non-Bluetooth devices.
The bad: The Samsung SBH-600's call quality could be improved.
The bottom line: Though it doesn't have the best call quality, its comfortable fit and fantastic audio quality makes the Samsung SBH-600 one of the best stereo Bluetooth headsets for listening to music.
