Samsung Repp Video Transcript
If you're all about bargain hunting for smart phones, then the Samsung Repp for US Cellular is about as cheapest you can get. In a word, it's free. That is with the new 2 year agreement of course. The entry level Samsung phone is a bit on the smallish side. It's got a 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen. It does run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and this is the pure unadulterated experience, with 5 homes screens and no additional layers on top. US Cellular has pre-loaded a bunch of apps on the phone including ThinkFree Office and Audible.com for audio books and other content. The swipe virtual keyboard is loaded by default. Although small, the phone does feel pretty good in the hand and pretty good on the ear. It comes in this berry color which I personally like, and there's also a 2 gigabyte micro SD card already loaded inside. There's a 3 megapixel camera on the back, and unfortunately it's not very good. There's no flash, no auto-focus and indoor shots were flat. Outdoor shots were much better. There really isn't a whole lot to this phone and for me the screen size is really too small to comfortably work with, but I do think that it has a place as a starter smart phone for some people with more modest means, perhaps certain teens, especially since its got that zero dollar price tag, which is very attractive. I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET. You can check out the full review, and other phone reviews at reviews.cnet.com.

Samsung Repp - red (U.S. Cellular) Review
The good: The Samsung Repp has all the basics you'd expect in an Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone, and a great price: free.
The bad: Be forewarned of the Repp's entry-level specs. The phone's call quality, speed, and camera are all serviceable, but the mediocre quality is noticeable, and the screen is too small.
The bottom line: The Samsung Repp offers a decent set of features for the free price, but it's worth shopping around for other U.S. Cellular deals.
