>> Nicole: I'm Nicole Lee Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a first look at the Samsung Propel. As you can see here the Propel has a very interesting square sort of shape, it's a very sleek, very smooth front finish here. On the front very prominently is a 2 point 2 inch display and the display is not the greatest we've seen, it has around 65,000 color support, which is -- we would prefer having 260,000 color support but it's okay for sort of entry level texting phone here. And underneath that you do get the 2 very skinny soft keys as well as your very flat navigation area, we weren't fans of the navigation area as well as the round toggle with the middle confirmation key here. When you open it up you will reveal a full cordia keyboard, the keyboard itself is pretty roomy but each individual key feels a little bit flat, a little bit slippery to the touch, not our favorite to use among all the texting phones but, you know, as far as simple phone I guess it's not that bad. And you do get the 1 point 3 Megapixel camera on the back, on the side here you also get the microSD slot as well as the volume rocker. On the other side you get the charger as well as the shortcut key. What the shortcut key does is it toggles through different applications, it goes through the music application as well as the video application, so it's a very simple media shortcut key on the side here. Features of the Samsung Propel include HSDPA support which lets you have access to AT&T's feature services like AT&T Mobile Music, which lets you stream and download music or video, it also has access to AT&T cellular video, which is, ya know, video streaming from NBC, CNN, contact partners like that. It also has AT&T Video Share, it lets you stream live one-way video calling if someone else who has a Video Share phone as well. It also has 1 point 3 Megapixel camera as we said, stereo Bluetooth, and music player and here, so it's overall a very full-featured phone, we just weren't pleased with the sort of [inaudible] design issues. The Samsung Propel is available right now for $80.00 with a 2 year service agreement from AT&T. My name is Nicole Lee and this has been the Samsung Propel. ^M00:02:17 [ Music ]

The good: The Samsung Propel has a slim design and comes with a slew of multimedia and 3G offerings.

The bad: The Samsung Propel has a rather flat navigation array and the keyboard felt cramped. We were also disappointed by the lackluster display.
