Samsung Profile (U.S. Cellular) Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Jessica Dolcourt for CNET.com. Today we are taking a First Look at the Samsung Profile for US Cellular. This is your basic entry level messaging phone. It looks almost exactly like the Samsung Messager 3, except that it has a better camera, and that it is black instead of blue. So you've got a 2.4 inch screen here. It is pretty nice. My one complaint is that the navigation is a little bit cramped. So you can still navigate around just fine. But it's not as spacious and comfortable as we would have like. And it does have a QWERTY keyboard here. It's a full keyboard; it's a little bit wide for my hands, personally. But again, the keys are fairly responsive. They're a little bit domed in the center, so you can press them. They felt a little bit flat to me. I have felt more comfortable keyboards. But not really too many complaints; I don't think that the keyboard is gonna shoo anybody away. There is that 2 megapixel camera here. This is not a flash, it is a small vanity mirror. And below this back cover is a micro SD card slot that takes up to 16 gigabytes expandable memory. You will need that if you wanna use the music player that's on board. Music player has really basic controls but it sounded just fine with our headset. Overall, this is a decent entry level messaging phone. It does have a lot of basics, and it is offered at a good price- that's $39.99, after a $50 mailing rebate and a new 2-year service agreement. I'm Jessica Dolcourt, and this has been the Samsung Profile for US Cellular.
