>> Hey. I'm Donald Bell at CES 2009 for CNET and I'm here to show you the Samsung P3. It's a touchscreen MP3 player's update to their Samsung P2 line we saw last year. It's all the same features, you got video playback, audio playback, photos. You've got Bluetooth connectivity here, so that you can sync your Bluetooth wireless headset for streaming stereo audio. You can also use the Bluetooth feature on the Samsung P3 to sync with your phone, so that you can get incoming calls on your phone and you can take them on the P3. There's a built-in microphone and a built-in speaker, so you can use just the P3 as a surrogate for your phone if you will and your phone can actually be in a bag or tucked away somewhere. Other cool features we're seeing on the Samsung P3 that we didn't see in the P2 is a haptic feedback feature that actually gives you a little buzz, a little vibration when you press the icons in the main menu, kind of reassure you that you're pressing the right stuff. And the body itself goes a lot more expensive. It's actually die-cast metal instead of the plastic body that made up the P2. So it feels a lot nicer, it's got a little more heft and it's a little bit thinner too. Over all, it's a really cool player from Samsung. There's no official pricing yet on the P3, but we're expecting the same pricing we saw on the P2 will carry over. You can now get this up to 32 gigabytes instead of the maximum 8 gigabytes that you could find on the P2. So I'm Donald Bell in CES 2009 showing you the Samsung P3. ^M00:01:33 [ Music ]

Samsung P3 (8GB, black) Review
The good: The Samsung P3 offers a sleek and sturdy design with a gorgeous full-color touch screen and fun interface; it includes a boatload of features such as Bluetooth connectivity, widgets, an FM radio, and voice recording; there is support for a wide variety of audio formats.
The bad: The Samsung P3's interface may take some getting used to; there's no Wi-Fi, and podcast support is inelegant.
The bottom line: The Samsung P3 is an excellent multimedia device that packs a grand amount of features into an impressively compact package with one of the best screens available. Plus, it sounds superb, making this a top contender for audio enthusiasts.
