>> Hi, I'm David Katzmaier, senior editor for CNET.com and with me is the Samsung LN T4671F. This is a 46-inch LCD flat panel HDTV. It's one of the Samsung's higher end models. The thing about this TV compared to a lot of less expensive TVs is it has 120 hertz of video processing mode so you can actually smooth out a lot of the motion in video. We'll get to that in a second. As a high-end TV Samsung really did pull out all the stops in styling this set. As you can see it's a really wide-looking TV. There is actually a little bit extra width on the sides, and then on the side of that there's some clear strips here where the speakers are. Below the screen and above the screen, though, it's a really kind of thin look. So overall it's a really sleek-looking set. Of course Samsung does throw in this swivel stand here. Features-wise, there's pretty much everything you could expect on this TV. The extensive picture adjustments include gamma, color temperature adjustment, you can go in, tweak the picture to your heart's content which is really nice. Excellent connectivity on this set includes two HGMI inputs, two component video inputs and a PC input on the back panel. The side panel has a third HGMI input and this USB port you can use to display digital photos from a camera as I mentioned [Inaudible] this TV does have 120 hertz processing, and we checked that out -- we were generally impressed by what we saw. It really did a very good job of smoothing out motion and stutter in pans. It's definitely an effect that a lot of people will notice so a lot of people may or may not like the effect. Of course you can go ahead and turn it off. It does introduce a few artifacts, however, so you know, again, if you have a sharp eye for that sort of thing you might want to leave it in the "off" position for a lot of material. But again, it's really nice to have that choice. In terms of other picture quality features this TV really does an excellent job. There's very good black levels, nice and dark. There is excellent color accuracy on this television, especially with the ability to do all those tweaks that we mentioned. On the down side, we really didn't like the shiny screen. Does reflect a lot of ambient light when the lights are up. But other than that it's a very good performer. Anyway, that's a quick look at Samsung's LN T4671 F and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:02:02 [ Music ]

Samsung LN-T4671F Review
The good: Solid black-level performance for an LCD; relatively accurate color; 120Hz processing smooths judder in motion; fine screen uniformity for an LCD; extensive range of picture controls; comprehensive connectivity with three HDMI and one PC input; ultrasleek glossy black design.
The bad: Expensive; smooth motion seems unnatural for film-based material and can introduce artifacts; black and near-black areas tend toward blue; shiny screen causes distracting reflections in normal room lighting.
The bottom line: While a few issues hamper its judder-busting video processing, the 120Hz Samsung LN-T4671F is still one of the best-performing LCD HDTVs available.
