Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1 and 7.0) Video Transcript

Hey, there. I'm Jessica (Belcorp?) for CNET here at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. I've got in my hands the Samsung GalaxyTab 2. This is the 10.1 inch version, the 7 inch version is right over here. Basically, these are follow ups to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 7 or 7 plus and they're meant to be more affordable devices when they do come out at slightly lower price points than before and also, some of the features are reflective of that. So they've got 1 gigahertz dual core processor and 3 megapixel camera, they've got all of their usual microSD card ports, SIM card slots, all of that. The will be released globally starting around the April to June timeframe. So keep your ears perked for more information on these. I'm Jessica (Belcorp?) here at Mobile World Congress and you are watching cnet.com

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (8GB) Review

The good: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 delivers a mostly pure Android 4.0 experience for only $250. The tablet also trumps the Kindle Fire in extras by including dual cameras, expandable memory, and TV remote-control functionality.

The bad: The screen doesn't look as pretty as other PLS displays, and its camera performance is lacking compared with other tablets in the line.

The bottom line: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 offers an excellent value and a full Android 4.0 experience that no other tablet can currently match for the price.
