Hi. This is Brian Bennett and we're at CES 2012 and we're taking a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note. Now, this device is very interesting. It sits somewhere in between a tablet and smartphone. It has a large 5. 3 inch screen. It uses Super Amoled Plus technology. Has a resolution of 1280 by 800, so that is an HD resolution and as you can tell it has a stylus that you interact with a device like this, you can just stroll to the menus using the tip here. You can also you know tap and hold to take screen shots of anything you're looking at on the device. You can also mark up and draw on anything that you capture and send it to people, so you wanna circle webpage or something like that and make notes, you can do that. It also transcribes your handwriting into text which is something that is pretty useful. So it also is on AT&T's LTE 4G to give fast data (speeds?). Only on the Samsung Galaxy Note, we have a front facing 2 megapixel camera and on the back, we have 8 megapixel main camera with LED flash just like the Samsung Galaxy S II. This is a very interesting device and it is you know as it sits somewhere in between a smartphone and a tablet, we're not sure exactly you know if the customers will wanna give up their tablet for this? Or give up their smartphone, but it does have a lot of really interesting usability features and it's something that you certainly wanna take a look at once we get the product for review. Samsung Galaxy Note - carbon blue (AT&T) Review
The good: The Samsung Galaxy Note's 5.3-inch HD screen is ideal for showcasing multimedia. It has 4G LTE, a great 8-megapixel camera, and a souped-up S Pen stylus that brings new ways to interact with your phone.
The bad: The Galaxy Note's S Pen is small, has a delayed response, and requires a little training to use. The phone will be awkwardly large for some, and it doesn't fit easily into pockets.
The bottom line: With its huge screen and throwback stylus, the Samsung Galaxy Note is a polarizing smartphone that winks at tablet territory. Those who like their screens XL will find a top-notch device that lets multimedia shine. The S Pen adds some artistic potential, but for some, the phone will just simply be too big.
