Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) Video Transcript

-Hey everyone, I'm Bonnie Cha, senior editor at CNET.com, and I'm here to bring you a First Look at the Samsung Galaxy S2. Samsung finally announced the U.S. version of this android super phone and this is the Attain version here that I'm holding. It's also coming to T-Mobile. Something different about the AT&T version, it's got a 4.3-inch screen instead of 4.5, which T-Mobile and Sprint will offer. The reason is it's because they have the Samsung Infuse 4G, which has the 4.5-inch screen. I'm still really looking forward to this model. So, you've got the Super AMOLED plus screen here. It has got a 2-megapixel camera on front for video calls. On back, you've got an 8-megapixel camera with flash that will also do 1080p HD video capture. Other improvement over the first-generation Galaxy S, it has got a dual core 1.2 gigahertz processor, running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread along with the latest version of Touchwiz. And some of the enhancements to Touchwiz include more fluid movement as well as resizable widgets. Some of the entertainment options on here include Samsung's Mini Hub so you can download, and rent, and buy TV shows and movies. Also has DLNA support. And if you have an adaptor, you can also pour out to your HD TV. And also, it has Samsung's KIES air software so you can connect over Wi-Fi with your PC and transfer files As well as manage text messages and your contacts. It has a video editor onboard so you can take your video and piece together your video on here. Again, no pricing or release day yet, but it will be in the coming weeks. I suspect it would be around the 200-dollar range. It also offers 4G support, so it's looking like a very nice high-end android phone for AT&T users. The T-Mobile version is unfortunately under glass, but that will also be coming this fall. And again, no pricing information there. I'm Bonnie Cha and this has been your First Look at the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) Review

The good: The Samsung Galaxy S II boasts a beautiful display and a thin design. With a dual-core processor, the Gingerbread device delivers fast performance, as well as good battery life. Camera quality is excellent.

The bad: Some parts of the phone feel flimsy.

The bottom line: With its dual-core processor, vibrant display, and great performance, the sleek and powerful Samsung Galaxy S II rises as AT&T's top Android smartphone.
