Samsung's Galaxy Express packs trendy features in a low price Video Transcript

-Hi. I'm Bridget Carey with CNET TV. Here with the first look at the Samsung Galaxy Express. This is marketed as your starter smartphone in the line of Galaxy, but I gotta tell you, inside you get a lot of features that you would otherwise-- just the hardware is not gonna be as good. Still pretty good though. You have a 4.5 inch super Amoled plus screen, your camera on the back is just 5 MP, the front facing camera is 1.3 MP. Inside, you have a 1.5 gigahertz dual core processor. It runs on AT&T's 4G LTE network so you're gonna get fast speed. It also has NFC, this is a merging technology that you're seeing in phones where there's a chip that lets you tap it with another phone that has NXC or NFC card and you can transfer data or images. It has a plastic backing so you cannot feel that it's a little bit economy. It also has 2 side buttons, this one is for volume and this one on the side over here is your power/wake up button. It's gonna ship with Android 4.0 that's Ice Cream Sandwich. They're not giving a price yet or availability of when this gonna launch but you can expect it before the holidays. For CNET TV, I'm Bridget Carey.

Samsung Galaxy Express (AT&T) Review

The good: The Samsung Galaxy Express runs on 4G LTE, has good call quality, and a decent 5-megapixel camera.

The bad: The Galaxy Express is preloaded with too much bloatware and its screen has a bluish hue at certain angles.

The bottom line: With its reasonable $100 price tag, AT&T's Galaxy Express' solid performance and respectable specs are a good deal -- but pass it up if you want a more powerful camera.
