>> Nicole Lee: I'm Nicole Lee Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a first look at the Samsung Freeform from Alltell. The Freeform is a very simple slate style messaging phone. On the front here's a nice 2.2 inch color display. Underneath that you do get the typical keys. Underneath that you also get the full QWERTY keyboard for messaging. The keyboard itself is a little bit cramped but the keys are raised above the surface so they were easy to text and dial by feel. Also on the keyboard is a dedicated calendar key and a dedicated email key. On the side of the phone is the volume rocker. On the back is the 1.3 megapixel camera lens as well as a self portrait mirror. On the other side you also get a charger jack as well as a camera key. On the top of the phone is a 3.5 mm headset jack. To get to the micro SD card slot you have to open up the battery cover. Features on the phone include of course text and multimedia messaging as well as email, a wireless web browser, stereo Bluetooth as well as a music player the before mentioned 1.3 megapixel camera and GPS with navigation. The Samsung Freeform is overall a pretty decent basic multimedia messaging phone for Alltell. It's available for $200 without a contract or $70 with a contract. [ Background music ]
