-Hello, I'm Luke Westway for CNET here at CES 2013. I'm having a look at one of Samsung's new gadgets, it's the DAF-60 wireless Bluetooth speaker. Okay so, as you can tell, this is quite a small compact speaker. I like the design. It's got this attractive grill on the side, and Samsung has gone big on retractability with this gadget. So, this volume knob here, it pushes in and out while on the back, there is a kick stand that also retracts. As you probably guessed from the name, you can pair up your Bluetooth gadgets with this to pump out your tunes wirelessly or you can use NFC. So if you have got a phone that has an NFC chip in it, for example, the Samsung Galaxy S3, then you can just tap your phone on the side of the speaker and it should start pumping out your music. It doesn't have to be hooked up to a wall socket to work, this thing runs on battery. Samsung tells me you get about 9 hours of juice before it dies. On the inside, there are two 13-watt amplifiers and it's a little bit tough in this noisy environment to make a first of sound quality, but it certainly feels like it's making a lot of noise. When I hold it, I can feel it, it's vibrating quite a lot. If you don't quite like the color scheme, you can get it in a more silvery hue. That one is called the DAF-61, so make sure you search for the slightly different product name. You can also get magnetic covers for this if you want to protect its glossy veneer. Unfortunately, there is no price yet. Fingers crossed it's quite cheap because this will be a good thing to take out with you if you're going on a picnic or just a jaunt on the beach with your friends, you know, something wholesome like that. What we do know is that it will be coming out in the first half of this year though, so we won't have very long to wait.
