>> Brian Tong: Brian Tong here at CES2009 with a first look at a Samsung BDP 4600. Now, behind me, this is a Blu-ray player, but what makes it unique, it's ultrathin, 1.5 inches thin, and it's wall-mountable. You also see some other design elements. Samsung's really pushing their touch of color so you'll see those kind of sexy, red accents along the edges. Other things that it can do is if you connect a USB dongle, it'll connect your wireless network. Again, getting streaming access to Netflix and Pandora, and also if you have PC's connected to that network, you can stream content through that way. Now, we don't have a price on this as well. It will be available in the first half of 2009. Once again, it's a wall-mountable Blu-ray DVD player. I'm Brian Tong for CNET.com at CES2009. [ Music ]

Samsung BD-P4600 Review
The good: Unique design; can be wall-mounted; excellent image quality on Blu-ray movies; Wi-Fi USB dongle included; Netflix and Pandora streaming; superfast operational speed and disc loading; Profile 2.0 compatible; onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio; 1GB onboard memory; streams media off connected PC.
The bad: Costs more than a PS3; unusual design won't fit all decors; compartment for connectivity is cramped; PC streaming setup is difficult.
The bottom line: Samsung's BD-P4600 Blu-ray player is packed with features and its unique design makes it wall-mountable, but most buyers will be better off with the step-down BD-P3600.
