Hi. I'm Ty Pendlebury from cnet.com. I'm here at the launch of the 2013 Samsung AV Range. Star-studded launch which includes celebrities such as Eli Manning and Flo Rida. We're here at the Museum of American Finance in front of the UHDS9. Pricing is being announced for this today, $40,000 and you can get your pre-orders now for March 2013. The second thing that was announced today was pricing for the Smart Evolution Kit. This is $299 and enables your 2012 TV to upgrade to 2013 functionality and includes one of the new smart remotes. Looking to reach consumers interested in an entertainment center upgrade, Samsung has taken the wraps off a new line of DVD player/recorders. Samsung reveals eye-popping TVs
At CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Samsung showed off its new lineup of HDTVs, including its F8000 series LED televisions and both an 85-inch and 110-inch 4K Ultra HD TV.
Samsung showed off its revamped AllShare Play app, which allows users to store pictures and video on cloud-based servers or send to Samsung HDTVs remotely. The company's SmartView feature can also send TV content to Samsung tablets and smartphones across a Wi-Fi home network.
