Samsung 9 Series laptop Video Transcript

-But is that Samsung? That's the company that's so loved at around the world for years, but not in the US until a couple of years ago. Wave TV is the first we've really like a lot of the stuff they have done. I think one of your favorite is here and this is-- -I'm literally like, yes, yes. Can we talk about the 9 series now? -What's all about the 9 series that even you came back today just to get oh my God you have the 9 series -I'll hold it, I'll hold it. -And here it is. -that's okay, I'll hold it. -So you know it's one of MacBook Air-ish. It's kind of an aluminum composite body. It's very thin. It's got the big giant touch pad. It's very sort of MacBook like the chiclet-style out keyboard and it's a premium price left laptop, but it's not gonna be inexpensive 13-inch, but -Yeah. -if you're looking something that kind of MacBook Air alternative and roughly that same you know price range for you need windows. -I like the support. -This is one of the cruel-looking super thin systems of designs that we've seen. -Yeah, this is gorgeous. -And you're here to own of it. -You know, this design I think is just stunning. It's so noticeable and it's so you know, this curve here kind of at the hand, is just really unusual. -You can have that across a lot of current Samsung line in different ways. -The kind of [unk] design idea and they're working through a lot different models, but I think it's really clever. -You know, you're right, it's reminiscent of the Blu-ray players and a lot of their design.

Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A (13-inch) Review

Editors' rating

The good: A thin, stylish design, long battery life, excellent screen, and a new second-generation Intel Core i5 CPU make the Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A one of the best ultrathin Windows laptops we've ever seen.

The bad: The Series 9's way-too-high sticker price makes the MacBook Air look downright affordable by comparison; the flexy case design doesn't feel as good as the MacBook Air's, either.

The bottom line: The $1,649 Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A certainly won't be for every wallet, but this light, well-featured, and striking 13-incher is the closest the Windows world will ever come to a MacBook Air. However, its higher-than-the-Air price will be hard to stomach.
