>> Hi I'm Bonnie Cha, senior associate editor at CNET.com. And today we're taking a first look at the Rim Blackberry 8830 world edition. This is a smart phone for Verizon wireless. And the cool thing about this is it offers dual mode functionality, which means you can use the phone here in the US on CDMA networks, and it's also EVDO capable, so you'll get really fast web browsing on this. But it also ships with a SIM card, so you can take it overseas and use it in Europe and other countries. Offers all the same basics of the Blackberry, really great email functionality. And this is also the first multimedia Blackberry for Verizon. So you get a music player and a video player. But there is no camera since it's more of a business device. At launch it will cost about three hundred dollars with a two year contract, but really solid performer, especially if you travel overseas a lot.
