>> Hey this is Peter Gatta [assumed spelling], and these are pics taken straight from our site, music dot download dot com. This week I'm all about Rilo Kiley [assumed spelling]. They have a new album out called Under the Black Light, and the first single is called The Moneymaker. ^M00:00:15 [ music ] ^M00:00:21 [ background music ] The group has outgrown their small club Indi persona, and have now been rocking large concert halls. They're currently on tour in the states, and are debuting new tracks such as Silver Lining, which is the first song on their new album. ^M00:00:32 [ music ] ^M00:00:40 [ background music ] We also have some oldie but goodie of Rilo Kiley on our site, and if you like the all country side of the band, you should check out Jennie Lewis' solo project called Jennie Lewis and the Watsons. ^M00:00:49 [ music ] ^M00:00:58
>> Everyone what's up? I'm Angie Dehoyas [assumed spelling], and my pick for this week is Koshine [assumed spelling], an electronic trio based out of the UK with a new album out called Damage. ^M00:01:06 [ music ] ^M00:01:10 [ background music ] Koshine is made up of Shayann Evans [assumed spelling], Markie Substance [assumed spelling], and Darren Decorder [assumed spelling], all of which are notably known for creating some of the best drum and bass music during the late nineties, like their debut hit single called Hidu [assumed spelling]. ^M00:01:21 [ music ] ^M00:01:26 [ background music ] The new album however, steers away from the drum and bass sound, and instead expands on the group's other [inaudible] style called trip hop, featuring a combination of pop and hip rock and break beat music. ^M00:01:37 [ music ] ^M00:01:46 [ background music ] The lead single, Overkill, is the track to check out off the new release. It's a great up tempo number which beautifully showcases the sweet and fluid vocals of Shayann. ^M00:01:54 [ music ] ^M00:02:04
>> Hey everybody, this is Mike Tell, and my pick for this week is the Frisco hip hop collective known as Bored Stiff. And they just released a new album called From the Ground Up, on Hello Records. ^M00:02:13 [ music ] ^M00:02:19 [ background music ] And while various members of the group have released solo projects throughout the years, Bored Stiff fans have been waiting for another release, and From the Ground Up does not disappoint. ^M00:02:28 [ music ] ^M00:02:33 [ background music ] On cuts like Media they manage to [inaudible] all day while keeping their sound universal with tight production by TD Cam [assumed spelling]. ^M00:02:39 [ music ] ^M00:02:47 [ background music ] Bored Stiff's From the Ground Up is in stores now, and if you're a hip hop fan, I strongly recommend picking this up. ^M00:02:52 [ music ]
