>> Donald Bell: Hey, I'm Donald Bell, senior editor for digital audio and MP3.
>> And today we're taking a first look at the Replug. The replug is a breakaway headphone jack that uses a built in magnet to have a breakaway connection in case you yank your headphones, and you don't want your MP3 player or laptop to go along with it. It's a pretty ingenious little design; you just plug the Replug into your MP3 player, your laptop, and plug your headphones into the top. Now, if your headphones get pulled away from the MP3 player, the cord breaks away into two parts. The little, tiny headphone jack is left behind, and your MP3 player doesn't get tossed across the side of the room. This is a really good product if you work out with and MP3 player, or you just give your MP3 player a laptop headphone jack a lot of abuse. For $17 dollars, it's a really good investment for saving both your headphones, and your MP3 player a lot of damage, and wear and tear.
>> So I'm Donald Bell, and that was a first look at the Replug. ^M00:01:08 [ Music ]

Replug Breakaway Audio Connector (black) Review
The good: The Replug is a breakaway headphone adapter that prevents your expensive audio gadgets from being damaged.
The bad: The Replug is larger than we'd like, and the breakaway tip is easy to lose.
The bottom line: If you're a klutz, the Replug is a great buy.
