>> Hi, I'm Tom Merritt, Editor with CNET.com with a Quick Tip on how to use your Nintendo DS or DS Lite, as an alarm clock. You can set the time options in the settings. To get there, take any games you have out and turn it on so that it will boot directly into the settings screen. Once you get past the little ergo warning, click on the file cabinet icon down here. That will show you four colored icons across the bottom. Choose the blue one that has the clock and calendar on it. Now real quickly, you can go in and change the calendar if you need to change the date or even change the time which is good if you're traveling across country or if it's daylight savings time. You spring forward, fall back, right there. But the cool one here is the alarm clock. Click on the alarm clock icon and it takes you to a time setting. We're gonna get up 7:30 is quite early, I think we're gonna try 10:30. Now you'd be tempted to press the confirm button, but in fact to turn on the alarm, you press this button up here. Turn alarm on. Touch that, it will ask you to confirm that you really want the alarm to go on, say yes. As you can see, these screens go black as the current time and the time of your alarm right here. Now notice, current time is in military time. That means the hour plus twelve. So 4:30 become 16:30 and if you're going to set your alarm in the evening, you'll have to remember that. Now if you get up early for some reason and you wanna play your Nintendo DS, just touch the touch screen. It will ask you if you wanna turn the alarm off, you say yes and you're back to the setting screen. That's it for this Quick Tip. I'm Tom Merritt, CNET.com. ^M00:01:38 [ music ]
