Quick Tips: Change Your Nikon D80's Shooting Mode Video Transcript

>> If you have a D80 or similar digital SLR from Nikon you've got a great camera but you need to know about shooting modes which it excels at. I'm Brian Cooley with a quick tip on how to select the right one. First of all turn the camera on and then look at this little button here to the right of the LCD info panel, it looks like a bunch of photos stacked up. Press that one in series, and you'll see that four icons will change right there on the display. The first one is single shot. That's obvious. Press it again and you get a stack of photos as the icon, just like on the button. That's continuous. You can now take three photos per second and you can keep going in many cases up to a hundred photos in a row at that rate depending on how fast your memory card is. If you keep pressing it, you'll also find settings for self timer. That's great to get yourself in the picture or if you're taking a very long exposure to hold the camera still, let it take it's own shot while you're hands off. You'll also find settings in there for use with remote controls. But get familiar with these different shooting modes. They allow you to do some very interesting things and capture things you might otherwise miss with your D80 or similar Nikon DSLR.
