QNX powers the BlackBerry Colt Video Transcript

-It's Tuesday, August 9, 2011, I'm Wilson Tang on cnet.com and it's time to get loaded. Research In Motion to purchased QNX, the makers of super secure and real time operating systems to power their playbook tablet and now their new software will become the smartphones early next year. The blog the Boy Genius report says that the Blackberry cult will be the first founder on the new OS. The site anticipates, it will contain a 1 gigahertz CPU, and arrive in the first quarter of next year. Apple has release a tool that users can create their own recovery disc. Mac OS X line automatically creates a recovery partition when installed in a computer, but that doesn't help you much if your hard drive crashes. The line recovery disc will create bootable disc on any USB stick or any external drive larger than 1 gigabyte, but actual OS installation falls must still downloaded from Apple servers. If you're thinking getting an eReader for school, Barnes & Noble has a deal for you. The book seller is now running a deal to get $100 worth of eBooks featuring 12 classics along with their study guides. All you have to do is purchase and register a Nook eReader before October 31st. Most of the books are in the public domain, but you can now get the spark notes instead of reading Tale of Two Cities. Skype has been updated on Mac OS X to support line and now HD video. Version 5.3 will finally take advantage of new face time HD webcams built in to some Macs, or you can purchase an HD webcam yourself. Skype recommends that you have an internet connection of at least 1.5 megabits for second to make HD video calls. Researchers recommend that you should change all of your passwords if your laptop gets stollen. Computer security experts at the Black Hat hackers' conference have discovered how to bypass the password protection system in Microsoft Windows operating system. Uses typically have windows or their web browsers store their commonly used passwords for websites. Researchers developed a tool that extracts those passwords from everything from your e-mail to your bank account. Finally, you expect that lines are formed for the new iPhone 5 just not before the device has even been announced. Rob Shoesmith has already started waiting in line for the next iPhone and has even started to market himself on Twitter and his website. Good luck with that Rob. Reports suggest that the fifth iPhone won't arrive until late August at the earliest or as late as October. Those are your headlines for today. I'm Wilson Tang for CNET.com and you just been loaded.
