>> Hey folks, Brian Cooley here with an '09 Jetta SportWagen from Volkswagen with the most advanced head unit that comes with it, which is hard drive based. That means you can put media on it, but it's not as simple as you might think. Let me show you how you do it. Now, I've got several sources plugged in. I've got a USB thumb drive here, I've got an SD card in here, I've got an disk in the slot as well. Go to the media button to get to your media choice and then hit Selection. Here's what you tell the system, which source you want to deal with. Now, notice that icon means I can do multiple things with my SD card, if it just says play that's all you can do with that source. Now, we want to go to the hard drive, so that obviously would be redundant, but here my USB mass storage dongle only says Play. So, the only source I have that I can bring to the hard drive is the SD card. To do that, press that icon and here's my choice. Play that media or copy it -- I want to copy it. You can make a new folder for it. I'll do that here. Now, we'll call it something stupid like SD card and when that folder in place, I say drop media or file here and it's all for the races. You've got about 19-gigabytes of your space available on this drive out 30 total. The rest is being used by the system. That's a pretty good size collection. You cannot rip videos to this, so don't be ripping your DVDs, it doesn't work nor we're able to rip an audio CD to this system. And finally, once you've got media on your drive, you can modify that. They call it editing, it's editing the title, not the file itself, which should be nutty. Go to the track, hit the button again. The menu button to the right of it and of course there is Play, Copy it again, Rename or Delete. So, here's where you can get rid of piece of music you don't want or give it a meaningful name instead of track 4 or call it whatever it is. So, that's how you get media on to the hard drive, modify it, delete the tracks and basically, uses this one big giant built-in in dash iPod in an '09 Jetta or similar Volkswagen with the latest hard drive-based unit. ^M00:01:57 [ Music ]
