-- I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here taking a very early look. -- I think this ultra book this is the present book UX 32 and you may recall the original. This is ultra book was the -- book UX 31. I don't what we liked a lot the end of 2011 -- MacBook Air like as this one is. -- with those little bit too expensive and had a couple of a physical flaws the -- was hard to open we were crazy about the touchpad. This new updated version that actually fixes some of those problems and has a better hardware. On the price is still gonna be a little bit on the high side. Now this new updated system has one of Intel's third generation core I series processors in it otherwise known as ivy bridge. But it's not one of the initial Quad Core core I seven I think it processes that have already been released -- one -- the next wave -- them that's gonna be announced at least within the next couple weeks -- we've agreed in this early preview not do you mean the actual processor inside. But I was overall -- -- fairly happy with the -- partially because besides the integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics. -- this particular -- also has a discrete Nvidia GeForce 620 M graphics card. And it will switch back and forth between the two graphics subsystems as needed. I've actually if -- a real boost when it comes to playing games I ran that we try to for an here at full 1920 by ten the resolution is a very high end screen here. I and it ran it like 57 frames per second which is fantastic reconsider this is a super thin super light ultra but it's a tiny bit thicker and heavier than the original. -- UX 31 cent -- up and I think the tradeoff is definitely worth it. Even though this updated version of this handbook looks almost exactly like the original -- as one change -- pretty -- on the original when the lid was closed. Was actually kinda hard to open it when you've reached on your finger wouldn't quite catch on it. I'll in this -- -- it must've gone back and and a little bit of love re engineering because now it's actually quite easy to open. And I'm pretty pleased with that improvement -- hopefully we'll have a final shipping version of this product pretty soon to bring you a full review and full benchmark -- -- I'm Dan Ackerman and that is being seen this -- the PUX 32 VD.

Asus Zenbook UX32VD Review

The good: The Asus Zenbook UX32VD has features usually missing from ultrabooks, including a 1080p display and Nvidia GPU.

The bad: The UX32VD is expensive, it's thicker and heavier than most ultrabooks, and it has a less-than-stellar touch pad.

The bottom line: With a Core i7 CPU, discrete graphics, and a full HD screen, the Asus Zenbook UX23VD is pretty close to being the ultrabook that has it all, but you'll pay for all those features.
