-I love to build photo books and personally I build dozens of books through Apple's iPhoto service. This software offers a simple user interface with a clean easy to navigate display. Downsides are the 100 page limitation and a lack of flexibility of page layouts and templates. If you're looking for slightly more control over your formatting, try Blurb. After downloading the software, you're given several options for getting starts from dragon drop templates to completely customizable layouts down to the pixel. One of the more compelling reasons to use photo book, America, is the archival quality and large formats. Perfect for building special occasion and keepsake books. The free services offers some easy to use templates, but you'll get the most out of it with some prior design know how. In San Francisco, I'm Kara Tsuboi, cnet.com for CBS news.
