>> The Democrats had Sheryl Crow rock out at their Convention. The Republicans, Christian singer Rachael Lampa. That alone should tell you there are major differences in party playlists.
>> Noticed a lot of classical music, jazz, probably more oldies stuff -- oldies but goodies.
>> I have just a compilation of R&B -- of Rock -- some classical.
>> I am listening to the Audacity of Hope -- Barrack Obama -- I read his book but I like to listen to his voice.
>> It's kind of like [inaudible] to get me pumped up. I have Marvin Gaye, ya know, just kind of gettin' the feel of the convention.
>> And what gets the Republicans pumped up? [background yelling]
>> My family, we listen to a lot of Christian Rock, that's our preference. We've got four children and we enjoy that music.
>> I listen to Christian music and I like Country music.
>> I, personally, like patriotic, I'm more traditionalist, so, the Rock and that stuff doesn't, but -- I think if you can find something with a good theme that fits that tends to work for a lot of folks.
>> What kind of music do you listen to, to get fired up here at the Convention?
>> I love Country music.
>> Any artist in particular?
>> Give me a little Kenney Chesney any day of the week. I'm still a Garth Brooks fan, I love Garth, but give me Kenney.
>> The biggest surprise in my informal survey is how few Delegates from either party even brought MP3 players. Whether it's the iPod, the Zune, or even phones that play music.
>> My girls have the iPods in the family and they don't share 'em very often, so.
>> [laughing] I'm 72 years old I can hardly work my camera and my [laughing] internet.
>> Not listening to any tunes while I'm out, I'm listening to speeches.
>> In Saint Paul, Minnesota I'm Kara Tsuboi, www.cnet.com. ^m00:01:45 [ Music ]
