Hey I'm -- -- new printer editor for cnet.com. This is your first look at the Canon pics not NG 2220. All in one multi function printer. This is one of the least expensive printers in the Canon multi function stable but he's still a lot of work friendly features -- seventy bucks. I do wanna warn you however that this thing only had two inkjet cartridges. Which means you do run the risk of paying more in the long run for consumable that's ink and paper if you do print a lot of high quality color photos. So realistically if you really wanna keep costs low you'll mostly print -- and -- graphics documents on this printer. The hardware costs are low because instead of an elaborate LCD screen -- you -- -- more expensive printers canning gives you a simple to line readout on this one. On the control panel here that should basic information like the number of duplicates you want from the copier from here you can also control the on media size. Fit -- page and black in color scanning options. NG UTT zero also uses Canon's fast front cartridge loading system. That's a new way to load ink and and you just pull down his door behind the hundred sheet paper tray to expose the inks. You also get use of Canon's HD movie print feature that basically lets you pull still snapshots out of videos shot with -- HD video cameras. It's all included on the software disk you get with the printer and software lets you edit video images pretty easily. So in terms of performance the MG 222 -- low price tag doesn't mean it's slow. It actually printed at an average pace compared to before other ink -- we tested at the same price range. Though there really pressed for time you can spend a hundred dollars and get the Epson Stylus and export thirty. That -- fourteen pages of text a minute. That's pretty good. But regardless if you're tightening the belt and needed new multi function that can print copy scan and even offered few extras. This is a viable option. You can check out more details of -- for review on CNET but that's gonna do it for me. I'm Justin -- you just took a first look at the Canon takes months -- to change his hero page.
