Philips' new flagship TV, the PFL5907 Video Transcript
-Unless you're from Europe, you probably think of Philips when you think of TVs, but the company is still around and it has a new flagship television. Hi, I'm Ty Pendlebury and this is the Philip's PFL5907 television. Philips sets itself apart form the rest of the manufacturers with its unusual mixed of features. Firstly, the TV doesn't include 3D, which to me isn't such a wise. And secondly, is has a feature known as media connect, which works in a similar way to Intel's WiDi by broadcasting your PC screen to the TV itself. The television also includes a smart TV suite with Netflix literally at the top, music and video streaming and a bunch of games. This TV has much to look though for while it has a swiveling glass stand, the TV is the same piano block we've seen from every manufacturer for the last 5 years, but performances work accounts and on this front, the Philips is very good. Black levels and shadow detail are excellent. It's only in color reproduction where the TV falters a little with colors that have noticeably less saturated in blue and red than competitor's. Philip's offers a number of different sizes in the range and the 46 inch I look is particularly good at $800 MSRP. As far as other LCDs are concerned, only Vizio is able to complete with it with picture quality. For CNET, this is Ty Pendlebury and this is the Philip's PFL5907 TV.

Philips 42PFL5907/F7 Review
The good: The Philips PFL5907 LED TV has impressive picture quality for the price, anchored by relatively deep black levels, good shadow detail, and a natural color palette in most areas. The TV has a diverse feature set, including MediaConnect PC mirroring.
The bad: The Philips exhibited a really shallow optimal viewing angle. Colors could be better; its reds and blues lack the vibrancy of some of its rivals', while near blacks can look purple.
The bottom line: The Philips PFL5907 series has commendable picture quality and features, making it one of the better LED TV values.
