Philips gives portable 5.1 audio with the Fidelio E5 Video Transcript
Hey, guys. I'm Sharon Vaknin at CES 2014, taking a first look at the Philips Fidelio E5 speaker system. This looks like a regular stereo speaker system, but what's surprising about it is that these guys come right off turning it into a 5.1 surround sound system. It's a beautiful-looking system. It's got a leader handle as well as a natural wood top here, and the speaker here is covered with a nice cashmere-like fabric. It looks really nice. It has an 8-hour battery life. So these charge as nested on top of this, and you can remove these and take them as far as 40 feet away from the system. Audio comes in through HDMI as well as Bluetooth, and you can pair any Android device with one tap using NFC, and of course, it has your standard connections like coax and optical in. The Fidelio is a 100-watt system. It comes with this remote and it's expected to come out in the summer of 2014 for 700 bucks. For CNET.com, I'm Sharon Vaknin at CES 2014.
