>> Nicole Lee: I'm Nicole Lee, Associate Editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the Pentax Matrix Pro from AT&T. It is a dual slider smartphone with Windows Mobile 6.1 on here. It slides up to reveal a numbered keypad and slides sideways to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. As you can see here, it has a very nice mauve finished display. However, it is a little bulky. About an inch thick, so it won't fit in your pocket to easily. [inaudible] is a little bit cramped. We didn't like how narrow some of the keys were. Slide the phone up, and you will reveal the numbered keypad. The keys here are pretty flat, pretty flesh to the surface. We didn't like this as well. Turn the phone sideways and slide the phone up like this, and you will reveal the full QWERTY keyboard. It's a little better than Pentax first smartphone, the Pentax Duo, however, the keys still felt a little bit narrow, a little bit flat to the surface. On the back, you do get the 2.0 megapixel camera, but there is no flash, and there is no self-portrait mirror. As well as features of this smartphone goes, it has the typical Windows Mobile 6.1 features. It has the Internet Explorer Mobile 6 with support for flash light. It also has 3 g support so it has support for AT&T's broadband services like AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T cellular video, which you can watch streaming videos over the air. It also has access to Microsoft Office Mobile so you can write, edit. Has also support for Microsoft Direct Push so you can sync up with your Microsoft Exchange Server at work to receive all your contacts and mail directly to the phone. It also has stereo Bluetooth, GPS. So overall, a very full featured phone, but we just didn't like the overall form factor. My name is Nicole Lee, and this has been the Pentax Matrix Pro from AT&T. ^M00:01:48 [ Music ]

Despite a few design issues, the Pantech Reveal is a good midrange messaging phone with the added bonus of a full HTML Web browser.
Though it's a decent camera, the Sony Cyber-shot G3's Wi-Fi implementation is a disappointment, and makes the camera overpriced relative to nonwireless models, including its better designed but otherwise similar sibling, the DSC-T700.
The Pantech Breeze is definitely ideal for seniors and those with disabilities, but it's also an all-around great phone for anyone who wants a decent entry-level handset.
Pantech Matrix Pro (AT&T) Review
The good: The Pantech Matrix Pro has both a number keypad and a QWERTY keyboard. It comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 plus a 2-megapixel camera, A-GPS, threaded SMS messaging, 3G support, and more.
The bad: The Pantech Matrix Pro is rather bulky, and the number keypad felt flat and slippery. The interface is sluggish as well. It also does not have Wi-Fi.
The bottom line: The Pantech Matrix Pro is a decent Windows Mobile smartphone, but its clunky design and lack of Wi-Fi are disappointing.
