Pantech Caper (Verizon Wireless) Video Transcript
-I'm Nicole Lee, Senior Associate Editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the Pantech Caper for Verizon Wireless. The Pantech Caper is available for Verizon Wireless' prepaid service. It is a pretty simple messaging phone. On the front, there is a 2.2-inch colored display; pretty nice and colorful as you can see here. Underneath that, you do get the usual navigation array, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard for easy texting. On the back is a 1.3-megapixel camera. The Pantech Caper, as you can see here, is very lightweight and very slim as well. So, it's made for ease and portability. You don't get much in the way of features with the Caper because it's a relatively basic phone. However, it does have text and multimedia messaging, and mobile e-mail. It also has stereo Bluetooth and access to the media center to get ring tones. The Caper does not have 3G, but it does have the slot below that, which is Verizon's 1xRTT network. Even though the Caper is a prepaid phone, it's pretty cheap. It's only $39.99 without any contract. I'm Nicole Lee and this has been a first look at the Pantech Caper.
