Panasonic SDR-S100 Review
The good: Extremely compact; three-chip color quality; attractive, thoughtful design.
The bad: Some may find grip uncomfortable for extended shooting; subpar optical image stabilization; poor low-light performance; no external microphone or video light support; not Mac-friendly.
The bottom line: The smallest three-chip camcorder yet, the MPEG-2-recording Panasonic SDR-S100 is at the forefront of solid-state consumer video camera technology, but that doesn't mean its video quality is above average.
