>> John Falcone: I'm John Falcone from CNET here at CES 2009 and we're taking a look at the Panasonic SC-ZT1. This is a wireless, surround sound speaker system. And how this one is different from ones we've seen in the past is that it uses 4 speakers - these very thin poles here - that have subwoofers built into the base of each 4 speakers. The only wires to each speaker is the power cord and the main base station here sends the surround channels to the 4 speakers which then virtualize a 7.1 channel system. You plug all your AV gear into the base station here via HDMI. And Blu-ray player, game console, DVR, what have you. Position the speakers around the room and you get surround sound without wires except for those pesky power cords. I'm John Falcone here at CES 2009. This is the Panasonic SC-ZT1.
