>> Hi I'm Josh Goldman, Senior Editor for CNET Reviews, and this is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1, It's our editors choice for a waterproof and shockproof compact digital cameras. Represents the best combination of usability, design, photo quality, and performance for its category. Not as rugged as some of the competition from Olympus, Cannon, and Pentax, but it's an excellent choice for those looking for a balance between an everyday pocket camera and one that can withstand diving down to 10 feet and falls from up to 5 feet. Other than the TS1's ruggedness, has a first rate feature set, such as a 12 megapixel resolution, 2.7 inch LCD on back, and a stabilized wide angle 4.6x zoom lens. It also features HD movie capture with use of the zoom while recording. Its photo's are faultless. Mainly they lack sharpness. And while it's not blazingly fast, it is the fastest of the rugged models we've tested. You're also paying a premium for the sturdy construction, which is something to keep in mind when you're shopping for this kind of camera. But with a design that doesn't look out of place away from the water, and very good image quality and performance, this camera gets top honors. I'm Josh Goldman, and that's a look at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1. ^E00:01:25
