Panasonic G10 plasmas Video Transcript
>> Hi I'm David Katzmaier from CES 2009 and this is the Panasonic booth. I'm standing next to the Panasonic G10 series of Plasma TV's. You can see there are a few models in this lineup. It's actually right in the middle of Panasonic's extensive Plasma lineup for the 2009 season. This series actually include THX Display certification which will actually improve the color performance of the television if last year's models are any indication. In fact, last year's Panasonic Plasma with THX earned our Editor's Choice Award so we're looking for good things on this television. Improvements this year include the Viera Cast feature; this is the least expensive Panasonic TV with Viera Cast that includes the ability to stream video on demand from Amazon as well as You Tube, Bloomberg, and a few other Internet sites so that's a pretty cool feature for inner activity. There's also the ability of this TV to get really black. Panasonic improved the contrast ratio of this set; 40,000 to 1 is the new number that they are using but I think the black levels on this TV are going to be better than any Panasonic TV we've seen in the past and that's up and down the Panasonic Plasma line if that contrast ratio is set for the least expensive ones. The panel also uses 50% less energy than in the past. So that's a really big selling point. A lot of people are looking for good power consumption in their TV's this year, and Panasonic with Plasma is trying to compete with LCD's much more miserly power consumption so that number if it holds true is going to be a really good thing for this television. Anyway that's a Quick Look at the Panasonic G10 series, Plasma TVs and I'm David Katzmaier.
