>> [Brian Cooley:] Hello Camaro fans, Brian Cooley here in the new 2010 Camaro. It's a one LT in this case, but I'm here to give you a quick how-to on how to use the Bluetooth hands-free technology, which is an option on this car with the standard head unit or the upgraded Boston Acoustics head unit. To get your pairing started, you want to go to "config," drop down to phone settings obviously enough, and that's all using this multi-selector knob here on the right, and then press "select" when you get there. Obviously hit "Bluetooth," and then you go down to "pair device," phone, or if you're using a GPS device that has a built-in Bluetooth speaker phone, you've got a different selection for that, so the profiles have been optimized. I'm doing a phone in this case, but the process will be similar.

>> Please start a search on your Bluetooth phone.

>> Okay, so it's starting here, asking me to --

>> Once the search is complete, select "General Motors" on your phone and then enter the code --

>> 0-7-4-4.

>> Okay, so I've started searching on my phone as they said, and they said look for "General Motors," and -- oh, there it is, right there. So I'll select that. Waiting for the code now. No problem, not going to forget that.

>> Please say the name tag you want associated with this phone.

>> Blackberry.

>> About to store --

>> Blackberry.

>> Does that sound okay?

>> Yes.

>> Thank you. Goodbye.

>> Okay, that's it. Let's try making a call now from the vehicle. You know how to do it from your phone, but let's try and use the actual command system, voice command button here on the steering wheel.

>> Ready.

>> Dial.

>> Dial using ?-

>> Blackberry.

>> Number please.

>> 415-344-2000.

>> Dialing --

>> Pretty good.

>> 415-344-2000.

>> Now beyond that, this is a pretty simple Bluetooth rig. Once I go into my settings here for my phone, I find that there's nothing like "transfer phone book" or any of those more advanced Bluetooth profiles for call history and such. But this is where I'll delete the phone. So when you're ready to remove the phone from the car, that's pretty simple. I just went and selected my phone and then I hit "delete." So it's a simple system, but pairing was quick and easy. And the combination of visual and voice prompts was very obvious to me. I never had to scratch my head and figure it out, and operating the call system from up here on the steering wheel, no brainer. By the way, on this car you also have the OnStar system which has OnStar hands-free calling. So you don't have to use your own phone. If you've got your service hooked up here, you can use that as well. But most folks prefer to use their own phone and calling plan. That's a quick how-to on dealing with hands-free communication, either Bluetooth or OnStar, in the 2010 Chevy Camaro. ^M00:02:44 [ MUSIC ]
