>> Hey folks, Brian Cooley here in an Audi 25 with a new Generation 3 MMI Interface. I'm gonna show you a quick how to on pairing your Bluetooth phone and managing it. First of all go to your telephone button is the easiest way to get things started, and then you can hit set up. From there you've got the Bluetooth button on the bottom right. You want to make sure Bluetooth is on, because you've got that setting right there at the top. Here's discovery mode, find Bluetooth devices. Hit that. Go to you phone. Make sure Bluetooth is on and discovery mode is on. And now interestingly you can kind of leave the head unit alone and go to your phone. Set up Bluetooth and start searching. And because I have Bluetooth on and the discovery mode on in the Audi head unit, I'm gonna find it just by starting up my phone. And there is it. Starts off as audio device, and then it says Audi MMI 0496. I want that one. Now we're gonna dialogue about establishing a pass code. Starts on the phone again. I'll do 1, 2, 3, 4. Enter that. It says; do you want to use that pin to connect? Absolutely. Now I go to Audi's unique little rotating world here to enter my pin that I already gave it on the phone. Rotate back down to the bottom for okay. And go back to the dialog on the phone. Do the usual yes's here and there 3 or 4 times. And there we go. It's one of the simpler systems to set up. Now in terms of the miss calls, dialed calls, received calls, that's under memory, upper left. Kind of an odd name for it, so I'm pointing that you so you know what that is. I'm unable to get my contacts transferred to the car. When I go to do that I find that I've got some problem with some push object or something. So, again, it's always important even in this day and age to make sure that you've got a supported device for your given car. Just because Audi's good at doing phonebook import doesn't mean they're good at it with every phone out there. You got missed calls, received calls, dialed numbers, and theses are all under that rather cryptically named memory setting. Now to take a phone out of the system, disconnect it and take all of it, calls and phone book entries away. So erase it. Telephone again. The set up button on the left. Bluetooth on the right. Go down to delete Bluetooth devices. Do you want to kill them all, yes or no? If you say no go to paired devices instead and you can do one at a time. So two different entries for taking phones out, depending if you want to do them all at once or one at a time, so not entirely intuitive. That's a quick how to on getting your phone paired, transferring contacts, or not. And getting your phone out of the system on the Bluetooth ring on the Audi 25, and other Audi's with this Generation 3 MMI head unit. ^E00:02:37
