Origin Eon 11-S, an 11-inch gaming laptop Video Transcript
I'm Dan Ackerman and weird taken a look. The origin -- eleven Estes is a rare bird -- -- it is an eleven inch gaming laptop. You really don't see a lot of these Alienware actually -- one for a couple years. They've just discontinued that -- it almost exactly the same time -- origin has come in to fill that hole by coming out with -- eleven inch model right here. Now -- this looks. You know not like -- super fancy light up Alienware gaming laptop that's because smaller companies like origin. I'll with a make a laptop that can't go in and and build from scratch themselves they can get off the shelf laptop bodies. Often from a company in clean though and they customize a little bit they put their components in in this case they put it back panel on their to have their logo it's a little fins kind of ending where like on the back. I think you still have kind of a generic -- when you're buying something that's more than a thousand dollars in -- once and -- a little bit fancier. But there are not that many choices out there if you want an eleven inch gaming laptop with a -- -- -- put a -- a high end. Intel Core I five or I seven shipping -- we've got an I seven in here and in the Nvidia graphics card. And that's powerful enough to drive a lot of games now the screen it's only eleven inches it's a thirteen 66 by 768 resolution. In -- in -- need a lot of muscle to push the game on that so that what most people are gonna end up doing is what I did which is take the HDMI output. And send the signal to a peak with a 24 to monitoring at 1920 by 1080. And and play your games like that I loaded that the outlook trick that worked great. If you wanna throw this in your -- taken to a friend's house who got their big monitor -- -- like a Lan parties and people still have those. This is the way you can bring a pretty decent game machine with you hopping you're not stuck -- just using the screen here or the keyboard and touchpad we defined the casual use but for serious gaming. If you were kind of small the touch bad is it is not super sensitive. But you probably hook up your own mouse in your -- external keyboard if you're connecting to an external monitor. -- a lot of configuration options is actually starts at 999. But I think you're gonna wanna spend a couple hundred dollars more than that I had to get a current generation Intel processors. And and the energy unit you need -- this I've -- actually and that is the origin -- eleventh --

Origin Eon 11-S (Core i7-3612QM) Review
The good: The Origin Eon 11-S is highly configurable, reasonably portable, and great for gaming if you can't fit a huge desktop replacement laptop.
The bad: The generic body doesn't feel very high-end; don't expect to come in anywhere close to the $999 starting price for a serious gaming laptop.
The bottom line: As one of the only 11-inch gaming laptops around, the Origin Eon 11-S is aimed at a select niche, but if you need a supersmall gaming laptop, it fits the bill nicely.
