>> Hi, I'm Will Greenwald assistant editor at CNET.com and this is the Olympus Stylus 760. Like all Stylus cameras this 7 mega pixel shooter is all weather, has a metal body, and is resistant to most rain, snow, basically the sort of splashing you'll get on it if you're carrying it around on a vacation. However it is important to note that while this camera is all weather, it is not waterproof. Don't expect to go swimming with this and have it still work when you're done. If you really want to dunk your camera, you should spend a bit extra on the Olympus Stylus 770 SW. This is just weather resistant, clearly not as durable. However as a camera, it works pretty well as long as you're not going to beat it up too much. It has dual image stabilization, unfortunately the mechanical image stabilization on this camera doesn't work quite as well as some other versions we've seen on other cameras. However it's still better than just digital image stabilization and far better than no stabilization at all. So if you're going to be shooting high speed, far away or low light, you've got a bit of an edge with this camera. Beyond that it has a standard 3X optical zoom lens, 7 mega pixel sensor, two and a half inch screen and that's pretty much it. Relatively nondescript but a nice looking, compact, snapshot camera. I'm Will Greenwald and this is the Olympus Stylus 760. ^M00:01:24 [ Music ]

Olympus Stylus 760 (silver) Review

The good: Sleek, light body; almost no lens distortion.

The bad: Slightly sluggish performance, mediocre color reproduction.

The bottom line: The Olympus Stylus 760 is a great choice if you just want a small, light, weather-resistant camera, but beware of image flaws.
