Nokia's Lumia 900 goes official at CES Video Transcript

Hi, I'm Kent German, section editor at CNET.com. I'm here at CES 2012. I'm here to show you the Nokia Lumia 900. That is an interesting phone for a couple of reasons. At Nokia's press event today, CEO Stephen Elop was very adamant that this marks Nokia's return to the US market and the North American market. This is the second Nokia Lumia device that's Windows phone 7 device to make it to the US carrier. So, also a big deal. I'm super excited about that. A very premium design. I do like it a lot. Nokia (360's?) always been very good about design. Making them very solid. Making them almost indestructible and just making it very slick and very comfortable hold in the hand. I have to say that this phone is exactly the same. On the display you'll see we have a typical Windows phone 7 interface. So we have all the squares, you may call them cubes or hubs, whatever you wanna call them but a lot of people call it different names. When you scroll through, you can see all the different features like Internet Explorer, you can go to the menus, you can go to Xbox Live, you can go to your homes... you can go to your calling menu, your contacts list, messages. It just scrolls up and down. Of course you can drag and drop these tiles like you do on previous Windows phone 7 devices. It's running Windows 7.5 Mango. So that added a few extra features that came out in the fall. So good to see that. On the back, we have the camera lens. It's an 8 megapixel camera. It is a Carl Zeiss lens at 28 mm and it is f/2.2. So a lot of power in this camera. I'm really excited to see all the pictures it takes. We did see a demo earlier of the picture taking ability and it looks really good. All in all, pretty exciting phone. I'm excited to see Nokia come back to the US market especially with this. It will be out in AT&T. We don't know a release date yet, we don't know a pricing yet but it will be out sometime this year. I'm Kent German here at CES 2012 with the Nokia Lumia 900.
