>> Hi this is Bonnie Cha senior associate at editor at CNET.com and today we're taking a first look at Nokia E61I. This is an upgrade to the E61 and the E62 not a lot of huge improvements just some minor design tweaks and a couple extra applications. They've put some more roomier keys on the keyboard. There's more spacing so they're easier to press. They also changed from an all silver casing to a mocha brown and silver casing it's pretty attractive. It's nice and slim, but it feels a little weird to hold up to your ear. They've also added a two mega pixel camera where the other ones didn't have a camera. So, that's nice. I know some business users might be concerned because work places are bringing cameras. I like the option of having one. They have also added a new team office suite for business users to help organize conference calls and everything like that. Otherwise it has the same Bluetooth, WiFi and unfortunately no 3D support, lots of email options as well as office editing and Creation. So it's a great device for business users. Unfortunately no US carrier has picked this up so you'll pay about four hundred dollars for this device. But if you can afford it's good power machine for business users. Nokia E61i (AT&T) Review
The good: The Nokia E61i features a roomier QWERTY keyboard and adds a 2-megapixel camera. The Symbian smart phone offers integrated Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and robust e-mail options. In addition, the Quickoffice and Nokia Team Office suites are handy tools for the mobile professional.
The bad: The E61i doesn't support U.S. 3G bands or the A2DP Bluetooth profile. The phone's speaker is on the weaker side, and the camera isn't the greatest. The handset is also pricey without the backing of a U.S. carrier.
The bottom line: The Nokia E61i isn't a major upgrade, bringing some minor design improvements and the addition of a camera, but it still remains a powerful smart phone for business users; just be prepared to pay a price.
