>> Hi, I'm Ken Sherman, senior editor here at cnet.com. Today we'll take a first look at the Nokia 6263. This is a new phone for T-Mobile service. Although T-Mobile doesn't have a 3G network yet, they have announced a couple 3G phones. We assume they'll get it soon. Just not exactly sure when. T-Mobile won't say officially. But for the time being it is a 3G phone. Doesn't really offer a lot of interesting design quirks or you know, curves or anything like that. It's not unattractive, by any means, just has a very standard, minimalist, but very functional flip-phone design. I can see it has a camera lens right here, a 1.2 mega pixel camera. External display is pretty bright and colorful. Shows photo color I.D., works as a view finder, all that kind of stuff. So the phone does have a music player inside. Of course you have to load music from a PC using a cable. You can't really download music like you can on other carriers. But the addition of these keys is a new thing. Here on this side you have a micro SD slot, while here on this side is a volume rocker and a dedicated camera button. And then here on the top of the phone you have room for a head set, a charger, and a mini USB cable as well. Inside, you have a nice internal display. Pretty bright and colorful, shows all the stuff you need to know. Down here to the navigation keys. These are also pretty standard. We've seen on some Nokia phones have a square toggle with an Okay button in the center. No Clear button, but that's pretty standard for Nokia. Also, not a lot of dedicated short cut buttons. You can set this toggle as a short cut, but there's no dedicated speaker phone button or anything like that. Key pad buttons, they are pretty nice. They are separated, and they are slightly raised above the surface of the phone just a tiny bit. But it makes it pretty tactile and easy to use. The center row felt a little wobbly, maybe a little cheapy [sic], but not a big detail. Pretty good phone for texting and dialing as well. I'm Ken Sherman, and this is the Nokia 6263. ^M00:01:43 [ Music ]

Nokia 6263 - black (T-Mobile) Review
The good: The Nokia 6263 has a simple, user-friendly design, a vivid display, satisfying call quality, and a decent feature set that includes stereo Bluetooth, a music player, and world phone support.
The bad: The Nokia 6263's user interface was rather sluggish, and the speaker has a sensitive sweet spot. The middle row of its keypad felt a bit cheap.
The bottom line: With a solid combination of design, features, and performance, the Nokia 6263 is a worthy successor to the Nokia 6133.
