>> Hi, I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we're going to take a first look at the Nokia 6085. This is a new phone for AT and T service. This phone is a lot like the Nokia 6086 for T Mobile. Looks exactly the same almost, has the same basic shape, lacks the WIFI on the 6086, but otherwise it's pretty good midrange phone. A little better for call quality and calling then it is for its camera and its music, so definitely great for calling, just not that great for multimedia. It is a little bit thick, it's a little bit big for a flip phone. It's not a huge problem at all especially if you're sick of thin phones. But just want to be aware that it is a little bit hefty. The phone we have here is black, but it also comes in silver, pink and gold as well. Here on the front we do have the camera lens. No flash, also no self portrait mirror. Because it's external LCD screen is monochrome and it's so small. It also doesn't show photo color LED and it doesn't work as a view finder for self portraits. Overall I was pretty disappointed with both the external and the internal displays on this phone. Here on the side we have a volume rocker and a camera, camera shutter. On the back of the phone is the speaker. Don't really like this, having this rear facing speakers because that is when you're on the speaker phone, especially if it's resting down, the phone is facing away from or the output is facing away from you. The phone is pretty loud so we could hear it but really like it when a speaker is facing front, it just works a lot better. Inside, you can see that again disappointed with this internal display. 262000 colors but you'd never know it. Found the graphics to look pretty blocky, a little choppy, didn't show colors well, wasn't very bright. So and the menu just to look, look just a little too ancient. Just really wasn't impressed at all. However, the keypad and navigation buttons are a different story. I found them pretty easy to use. Would really like a dedicated back button on the keypad and maybe a dedicated speaker phone button as well. Those aren't there, but you do have a, do have a shortcut menu, a couple of soft keys, you have the toggle which is very tactical and easy to use and large with an okay button in the center. And the talk and end keys. Keypad buttons also liked, they're raised above the surface of the phone. Not seen a lot of that this, these days. That's nice to see. Overall pretty decent phone, but call quality is pretty good, but just really wasn't impressed with the music quality or the camera quality either. It's just a VGA camera.
