>> Hi I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we're gonna take a first look at the Nokia 5700 express music. This is an update to the Nokia 5300 Express Music, which we saw last year. The phone looks a little different from the 5300. It doesn't have a slider design, rather it has a twisting base like that on the Nokia 3250. The position of the twisting base activates certain functions, so when you see it like this, with the keypad facing front, you can make calls normally, you can access the menu, you can do anything you want on the phone, even access the camera music player. When you turn the base like this, does activate the camera instantly, you can [inaudible] using the viewfinder here. But if you turn it back the other way, then you can take photos facing away from you. So it is pretty interesting. Some people might not like the base, we find it, we find it kinda cool, a tad gimmicky, maybe a little tedious if you use it over time. But it is nice, you can certainly access those functions right away. And if you turn the base all the way around, it does activate the music player instantly. The navigation array looks a lot like it did on the 5300. You have a five way joystick, which was easy to use. We did find that when we tried to go up we were often selecting that rather than just moving the cursor up. But otherwise not too bad. Finally on the bottom we do have a two point five millimeter headset jack, and here on the top we have the dedicated power button. [ background music ] Features are pretty cool, they have music player, two point oh megapixel camera, Bluetooth, [inaudible]. Just about everything high end you might expect in a phone. Phone is a little bulky, does come in red and gray as well, we have the black version here. But overall, pretty solid phone. I'm Kent German, this is the Nokia 5700 Express Music. ^M00:01:28 [ music ]
